If you have been storing old papers and wondering how to dispose of them, think about bringing them to the first North Shepherd Area Business Association Shred Day on Saturday, September 21.
Old papers might include bank statements, old bills, obsolete files, school notebooks, anything that is made of paper that you have been afraid to dispose of in the trash.
Thanks to the generosity of Data Shredding Services, Garden Oaks Elementary School, the North Shepherd Area Business Association and Adolf Hoepfl Garage, Shred Day will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 9:00 to noon at Garden Oaks Elementary School.
Here are the particulars:
When: Saturday, September 21, 9:00 a.m. to noon
Where: Garden Oaks Elementary School, 901 Sue Barnett, 77018. You will enter the circle drive and drop off your paper in front of the school.
What can be shredded: anything paper, including paper with staples, paper clips, Akko clips and even 3 ring binders. As long as it’s paper, it’s okay.
All material dumped from tubs, boxes, and bags will be returned to the resident as Data Shredding Services will have no way of disposing of them.
Important! Data Shredding Services requests that you please look through your material beforehand. It needs to be free of all trash. Batteries, lighters and many other things can be very dangerous when put into the shredder. So we just ask that when people pull out their material for shredding they look through it. In some cases it could have been sitting in someone’s attics for 15 years, and they have no idea what may have accidentally found its way into one of the boxes.
