With my busy schedule and new to Houston I did not have time to look for a mechanic to repair my classic Mustang. I just happened to be driving along North Shepherd headed to I-45 and saw the sign Adolf Hoepfl & Son Garage. I stopped in talked with Sybren to get an estimate. The car was fixed in a timely fashion as promised. My mustang has never run better! I will always use Adolf Hoepfl for my car needs.

I could have been in for a nightmarish experience but good fortune led me to Hoepfl & Son Garage. I was from out of town when my vehicle wouldn’t start. Was told by others it was the starter, information which I gave to Sally (service mgr) and set my self up to spend several hundred dollars. John, the technician, found it to be loose battery cables — NO CHARGE! I asked them do other work I knew I needed to done. They got me in and out. Other customers came in to have work done and were known by name even by the technicians – it was like being in a small town. Also, very civic-minded. Free copies of The Constitution. They were giving 2 free oil changes if you donated $60 to the MS Foundation. The owner, Kathryn, came in wearing bike riding outfit, having just come from an event where she was promoting a charity bike ride. In a couple of weeks they are having a special Saturday for ladies to come learn about routine vehicle maintenance, have lunch and have their vehicles examined at no charge. A great place – Houston is very lucky!

I’d heard from several of neighbors in Shepherd Park Plaza that Adolf Hoepfl was an excellent, trustworthy auto repair garage. Their service and mechanical expertise is far above par. They do not nickel and dime me to death. Whenever we take our late model vehicles in for repair or maintenance they let us know what the problem is in a timely manner along with a fair estimate of the cost. They’ll tell you what work needs to be done now and what can wait. They also give me a ride home for free when I need to leave my car there. They have our business and I’ll continue to refer Adolf Hoepfl to everyone.

I recently had some major work done on my vehicle and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Also, it’s an excellent choice for routine maintenance. When you visit, make sure to ask about the history of the Garage. It has an interesting and rich history in the Houston area.

My friend took her truck to a franchise repair shop in Humble. They gave her a quote of about $900 for the service and to replace an expensive part. I felt that price was too high. I suggested that she hold off. I knew Adolf Hoepfl Garage from years ago when my father recommended them to me. Adolf Hoepfl repaired her truck for less than $500. Turns out that the other shop misdiagnosed the problem. Wow! Just like when consulting a doctor for a medical issue, it’s always better to get a second opinion. They are fair, reasonable and give great service to their customers. They even sent me calendar and a newsletter about upcoming events. You just don’t find that kind of service and extra attention to customers from many companies these days. Adolf Hoepfl Garage is much more than a auto mechanic shop!
